THIS INTERVIEW IS WITH THEIR DRUMMER SOPHIE MEHARG
Why did you select this song as your current single?
It was the first song we recorded. We co-wrote the song with our producer and as soon as we
recorded it we felt it was a good rocking number to be our first single.
How does this single relate to the rest of the Album?
It is a good representation of how our album will sound. All the songs on our album have a similar
thread running through them. Due to our age the subject matter of our songs are kid related. We felt
it was important to appeal to kids of all ages and to send out a possitive message. We hope adults
like us too.
What was the writing process for the song?
We spent all lot of time rehearsing and jamming until we came up with the riff and the beat. Once
when had the basics of the music we sat down with our producer to work on lyrics and shape it into
a song. We then recorded it, continued to work on it and reshape it until it became the song it is
What does this song’s lyric mean to you?
To me the lyrics symbolize how much kids enjoy the freedom of summer and hanging around with
friends and enjoying the sunshine. It’s a really happy summer song that makes me think of good
times. I hope the lyrics make others feel the same.
What would it be like to see you in person performing this song?
I would hope it would be an enjoyable experience for anyone who comes to see us play this song.
We put a lot of time and effort into rehearsing for our gigs to try and make them the best gigs they
can possibly be. It is vitally important for us to put on the best shows we can. We want people to
leave our gigs feeling happy and excited which we hope will make them want to come and see us
Could your fans summarize who you are as an artist by this song?
I think fans could summarize who we are by listen to Summer Days as the style of the song would
let them know what genre of music we play. The attitude in our music really comes through in this
song and that attitude continues throughout our album. Summer days really represents who we are
as a band and it show the type of music we like to create.
Is there a video planned and or completed and if so, what was the idea behind the video?
We already have a video created and released. The idea behind the video itself is of unknown forces
searching for the band using a satellite. The satellite finds us playing in a building and monitors us
using the buildings CCTV cameras. I really love the concept of our video. It was an idea our
manager came up with and I think it works really well with the song.
One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?
We really love the whole creative process of making music. We have been heavily influenced and
inspired by other bands which pushes us to make the best music we can. One of the best things
about starting a band so young is that we have so much time to learn about and discover all the
wonderful music thats out there. We learn something new everyday in music and hopefully that will
help us improve as musicians and as band.
