FB Prof Pic 4Emerging soul and blues outfit Chelsey Nicole & The Northside Vamps are officially releasing their debut EP Love Through The Lineon Thursday, December 19, at Howler’s Coyote Café in Bloomfield. The Vamps began working on the 7-track EP in the Hill District with jazz guitarist and recording engineer Mark Strickland in early September. Love Through The Line is a blend of contemporary grooves and timeless melodies with influences ranging from Otis Redding, Amy Winehouse and the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Produced by guitarist Vince Cuneo, the raw, horn-driven and diverse EP showcases some of the best Pittsburgh talent with members from groups such as Wreck Loose, Stranger Convention and Black Coffee.

“Soul music has been popping up all over the world lately,” producer Vince Cuneo said. “This EP is something the Pittsburgh music scene has needed since this soul ‘renaissance’ began.”
